FROM RAIN:
I've been thinking about this for a while; how about a character (regardless if it's a male or female) that is a victim of homophobia, discrimination, and/or assault because of their sexual orientation.
We hear a lot of stories of how lesbian and gays are victims of hate crimes, but we don't see too much of it portrayed on the screen. Only after a notorious crime is reported (Matthew Shepard, Gwen Araujo), these crimes are taken seriously.
The character doesn't have to die, but we can see how the crime has affected the victim, and how they deal with it in their everyday life.
The L Word is great, but come on, no one in L.A. is a victim of a hate crime? They touched on it a bit with Max's employers homophobic position. I think they should have taken it a little deeper in his storyline.
